Description

Armstrong Teasdale LLP is seeking an Internal Communications Marketing Manager to join the firm. The Internal Communications Marketing Manager will actively engage internal audiences in an effort to further build and strengthen the firm’s dynamic culture. This role is tasked with connecting employees to each other and the mission, values and strategic goals of the firm through timely, relevant and credible communications. Working predominately with internal clients, including operational departments, attorneys and staff, the Internal Communications Marketing Manager has the opportunity to directly influence engagement and collaboration. This role will be responsible for collaborating with the firm’s Chief Growth Officer and other firm leaders in developing a strategy to implement an updated intranet and associated collaboration tools.



Requirements

  • Works with various internal stakeholders to create a best-in-class internal communications function across the firm that fuels employee engagement, influences connectivity and culture, positively impacting all offices.
  • Liaise with Human Resources, Accounting, Technology, Marketing, Business Development, Information Resources and Diversity Equity and Inclusion teams to coordinate and support consistent internal communication to support the organization’s “one firm” objectives.
  • Develops communication materials in coordination with the firm’s graphic designer and external marketing team using a variety of tactics (written communications, videos, presentation materials, town halls, small group meetings etc.) to articulate key messages.
  • Plans, creates, edits and posts intranet content for internal audiences ensuring the firm’s intranet (ATshare) remains fresh and relevant in its current and future state.
  • Writes creative and compelling content, including executive communications, and presents story ideas that support the firm’s internal communications objectives.
  • Assists the firm’s Integration Director with generating marketing materials associated with firm growth and the integration of attorneys and staff, including new staff hires during the onboarding process, and some attorney bios as needed.
  • Analyzes metrics / reports to measure effectiveness of communication channels and measures communications with the goal of continuously improving communications strategy to reach and engage employees.
  • Extensively writes, edits and proofreads articles, white papers, presentations, client advisories, RFPs and more.
  • Participates in other projects and tasks as assigned.

Required Education:  Bachelor’s degree in related field (journalism, communications, design or technology)

Required Licenses and/or Certifications:  N/A

Required Experience: 5 years of experience managing a website or intranet, and writing content for print and digital media platforms; proficient in Associated Press style

Preferred Experience:  Understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript; familiarity with web content management systems (WordPress, SharePoint); strong understanding of best practices in website development, internal collaboration tools/platforms, and / or knowledge or experience with Microsoft Teams

Supervisory Responsibilities:  Indirect

Physical Activity:  The employee will be required to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
