Wells Fargo Consumer Lending

Wells Fargo's Consumer Lending businesses empower millions of customers to achieve their dreams every day. Whether it's buying a home, purchasing a car, funding a significant purchase, or making important daily credit card purchases, Consumer Lending provides important credit products and services that help our customers succeed. The group includes Home Lending, Auto, Credit Cards & Merchant Services, Personal Lending & Retail, Consumer Lending Control, and Consumer Lending Shared Services.

The Position

The new Small Business Card (SBC) Acquisition and Portfolio Marketing Director will be responsible for the management of new account acquisitions across all marketing channels including offer, price and creative strategies. Contributing to growth of SBC by leading acquisition and creating prospect strategy while develop new omni-channel marketing strategy. Develop prospect database with specific marketing audiences.

Specifically, this role will:
  • Lead development of planning and executing increasingly complex highly visible programs within marketing
  • Contribute to marketing, creative or product management for Small Business product line and provide expert level consultation in one or more areas critical to SBC success such as marketing programs, new products or product enhancements
  • Review and analyze complex information across projects or programs to present findings and recommend solutions to management while developing work plans, campaign requirements, establishing milestones and reports comparing results to projections
  • Analyze product collateral design, development, distribution, regional marketing and sales support including local advertising or brand awareness, sponsorships, promotions, sales campaigns, tracking, research, and reporting on trends and program effectiveness
  • Lead team to meet marketing deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of legal, compliance, privacy regulations and policies related to marketing
  • Collaborate and consult with product areas, technology, customer care, other organizational units, alliance partners, vendors and line managers to recommend solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
The Candidate

The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in building and leading high performing, industry-leading customer focused teams in the financial services industry. This executive will have experience leading a best in class organization leveraging highly disciplined business, financial, operations, credit and risk management processes.

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms, or Social Media experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Management experience
Desired Qualifications
  • Consumer and Business Credit Card experience
  • Proven ability to create a comprehensive marketing strategy to acquire customers and keep them engaged with the product
  • Proven ability to lead and build consensus amongst product, segment and center of excellence functions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, partner, and negotiate within a matrixed environment to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
  • Affiliate marketing experience
  • Digital marketing experience
  • Vendor and agency management
  • Experience actively managing, reporting on, and optimizing digital marketing campaigns and tactics
  • Experience pulling data and preparing results for review with Sr. business leaders
  • Experience marketing in regulated industry, and working closely with Legal and Compliance and Control partners to market products in a manner that meets all regulatory standards
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
