Description

Looking for a dynamic, results-oriented Associate Shopper Marketing Manager (Assoc. SMM) who thrives in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment to extend brand strategy and activation platforms to retail partners through the development of Shopper Marketing programs that will drive profitable volume, sales and equity of Bel Brands USA. The Marketing organization is responsible for developing the long-term strategy for the brands, building differentiated market positioning, developing superior brand mixes, as well as developing and executing integrated marketing plans. Specifically, within the Marketing organization, Bel Brands defines Shopper to include National Shopper Programs, Account Specific Marketing (ASM) and Retailer Website Content Management.

The Associate Shopper Marketing Manager role leads the strategic development and execution of Shopper Marketing programs across the Bel Brands portfolio at multiple key retailers. This position will work in partnership with the Brand teams, Shopper agency and the Sales organization reporting to the Shopper Marketing Manager. The Assoc. SMM will also manage Bel Brands USA portfolio retailer website content; including but not limited to updating package shots, customizing retailer content, and uploading to Syndigo. We staff this team with strong thought leaders, innovators and collaborators who are driven to leverage their experiences to help shape the future of shopper marketing while delivering results with our retail partners. 

This shopper marketing experience will develop and showcase the ability to strategically evaluate business opportunities, develop deep consumer and shopper empathy, and closely partner with sales and brand leadership to bring opportunities to market to positively impact brand equity, sales, and profitability. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in Shopper Marketing for specific key retailers, advancing Bel Brands USA shopper plans, driving cohesion across brands and integrated marketing plans.
  • Plan Development and Execution: Lead retail specific briefings, manage program development and execution of Shopper Marketing/ASM plans for Bel Brands portfolio. In partnership with agency and input from Brand and Sales teams, ensure teams are aligned with best practices and retailer needs, both in strategy and execution.
  • Ecommerce: Provide Ecommerce content thought leadership/best practices and manage Bel Brands retailer website content via Syndigo. This is done by updating brand specific package shots and developing custom retailer content to ensure retailers have the most accurate and updated information.
  • Communications: Lead and manage agency relationships for respective retailers and program budgets.
  • Program Evaluation: Summarize and communicate retailer specific program impact, lessons learned, and incorporate learning into future program development.


Requirements

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an agency or other shopper-related company and/or minimum of 2 years CPG experience in a Shopper Marketing role
  • Preferred prior digital marketing and/or agency management experience
  • Preferred prior retailer website content management experience

 Working Conditions:  Work is performed in a hybrid work environment.  Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week.  At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other concerns. Occasional travel may be required.
