- Senior Marketing and Events Coordinator
Description
Taft is seeking a Senior Marketing and Events Coordinator to join our dynamic team of legal professionals.
Taft is a modern law firm, and the marketing and business development team is on the front lines of the firm’s innovation. As a valued member of the team, you will get a hands-on experience, collaborating to enhance and maintain Taft’s brand presence. As our senior marketing and events coordinator, you will report to our director of event marketing.
Essential Functions:
Events
- Support coordination of client-facing events in the Chicago market, managing venue research, vendor communications, RSVPs, on-site execution, and comprehensive post-event reporting.
- Draft email communications and publish event details on the firm's website.
- Prepare event materials such as handouts, on-site signage, name tags, and other marketing pieces.
- Coordinate the Chicago Gender Advancement and Inclusion and Opportunity Committee events.
- Facilitate CLE submissions for Illinois and markets outside of Taft's footprint for events with an external audience.
Sponsorships
- Manage the administrative aspects of Chicago office sponsorships, coordinating marketing materials, logos, payments, and maintaining event timelines.
- Oversee sponsorship fulfillment, including registrations, ad submissions, and attendee coordination.
Chicago Marketing
- Regularly update the Chicago Tightrope slides, keeping content current.
- Schedule new attorney headshots and retakes.
- Draft news notes for the Chicago market.
- Manage branded promotional items ("swag") for the Chicago office, including quarterly inventory and regular distribution of items.
- Write and submit Crain's People on the Move ads for new Chicago attorneys.
- Send new attorney information to Chicago Daily Law Bulletin for the People column.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 4-5 years of event coordination and general marketing experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with an ability to effectively interact with attorneys, staff, and clients.
- Demonstrated experience with registration management and e-communication platforms.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiasm for tackling new challenges independently or collaboratively with a team.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Taft offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, long-term disability, flexible spending, 401K, Paid Time Off, paid holidays, bonus, and more. The salary range for this position is $$65,000/yr. - $82,000/yr. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted information based on work experience, education, and/or skill level.
