Job Summary

Description: The product marketing manager plays a critical role in tying together pieces of the puzzle, then telling a compelling story. With deep understanding of the global market and the ability to translate highly technical product information, you are the connective tissue between product, engineering, sales and marketing - ultimately contributing to the positioning and narrative of Nextracker's award-winning solutions and services to help us win business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study NX products and NX customers to ensure needs are addressed and products are positioned for maximum benefit
  • Formally capture customer and market requirements
  • Develop effective, multi-channel product marketing strategies and plans
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, product management and marketing teams to position and promote NX products and services
  • Translate product & technology into tangible benefits for global customers in different markets with unique market requirements
  • Follow and analyze market trends to position Nextracker products and services
  • Develop compelling product marketing content and messages across marketing channels
  • Test marketing product positioning & messaging
  • Evaluate campaign success using relevant KPIs and feedback from existing and prospective customers


  • Examples of your deliverables:
  • Develop and submit abstracts for global conferences
  • Build product content for use across digital platforms (e.g. website , social media posts on product related content)
  • Define, document and evolve product marketing strategies by product topic & product launch
  • Create product promotional slide decks
  • Develop datasheets (e.g. copywriting to agency management on layout and graphics)
  • Envision and define illustrations, animations & videos. See this example , for reference

  • Present product & technical content in compelling form for layperson
  • Build a broad narrative across entire product portfolio


  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Product Marketing Manager in solar, energy, cleantech, or similar
  • Solar energy industry experience preferred
  • Adept at communicating with product and engineering teams and at ease with accurate technical lexicon
  • Experience with market analysis
  • Experience with direct customer engagement and needs identification
  • Ability to understand and build features and benefits messaging across multiple domains, such as: energy generation performance; reliability and uptime performance; mechanical / structural components; Electrical and control systems; construction process; and long-term operations requirements
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, visual; technical & marketing copywriting required
  • Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills
  • Experience managing 3rd party creative agencies
  • Experience with product animations / video: storyboarding, A-Z production, photoshoots, photographic direction
  • Ability to sketch, do basic graphic design & visual artwork preferred
  • Can quickly build professional, visually compelling slide decks
  • Determine key technical content, spec, images to best communicate product positioning and value
  • Experience using data to convey product messaging, conceptualize appropriate charts, graphs, and infographics
  • Balance multiple projects, priorities & timelines
  • Grace and calm under customer & sales pressure
  • Cross functional collaborator


  • Pay Range (Applicable to California)

    $135,300.00 USD - $186,100.00 USD
