Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Global Marketing Manager, Industry & Customer Engagement Strategy. This position can be based in Irvine, CA or Jacksonville, FL.

In this role, you will be responsible for broadening Johnson & Johnson Vision's presence and impact by shaping and influencing how we show up differently in the global ophthalmic and optometric communities. You will accomplish this by developing meaningful connections across industry and spearheading new ways of engaging and partnering with customers and their practices, key opinion leaders and emerging influencers, and societies.

In addition to demonstrating a strategic mindset and high level of business acumen, the ideal candidate is passionate about developing and maintaining strong working relationships across industry, is comfortable working autonomously and solving problems creatively, and will possess excellent written and oral communications.

This position reports directly into the Director, Global Marketing Strategy & Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner (in collaboration with Medical Affairs) with ophthalmic and optometric societies and congresses to advance thought leadership and standard of care in key areas of Johnson & Johnson Vision's differentiated pipeline and portfolio of solutions; Elevate and broaden Johnson & Johnson Vision's congress and podium presence through proactive engagement in content and agenda development.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to develop programs and solutions that improve practice throughput and efficiencies through increased patient education and engagement and optimizing referral networks.
  • Drive consistency of message across all activation channels through proactive customer relationship management, including program development and content creation
  • Lead segmentation and customer engagement planning strategy to elevate relationships with key industry leaders and influencers.
  • Identify emerging KOLs and digital influencers; Develop and execute strategies to drive diverse community development and engagement across the next generation of surgeons and residents.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on advisory board and KOL engagement strategy; Identify and implement improvements to current processes.
  • Champion voice of the customer throughout the Johnson & Johnson Vision organization; advocate for customer needs and preferences as part of strategic planning and portfolio processes.
  • Develop and track KPIs/Metrics to drive optimal ROI of engagement activities and achievement of business objectives.


  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree in business is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years business experience with 3 years marketing and/or field sales is required.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization and collaborating cross-functionally and with regional groups is required.
  • Ophthalmic and/or optometric industry experience is preferred.
  • Skilled communicator with a passion for networking and relationship building is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to think strategically while delivering on seamless customer engagement experiences; High capacity for learning quickly, attention to detail, and managing simultaneous projects successfully, with a strong bias for action is required.
  • Up to 15% domestic and international travel is required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $99,000 to $170,200.
